48 OF THE BEST TECH LIFE HACKS

You may not know this... but there are several websites and technology-related tips and tricks out there that can totally simplify your daily routine and make your life much easier in general.
For instance, Apple's charging cords for iOS devices and Macs tend to fray after a few years of wear, which means you'll have to spend money every few years to replace them (unless you don't care about them catching fire and ruining everything you own and love). Well, we know a nifty hack that'll prevent your Apple cords from fraying in the first place.
We're not even kidding.
In fact, we know 48 different hacks - and every single one of them will either blow your mind or make you wonder how you ever survived this long without them. Here's another example: Want to find a direct download to any movie? Instead of using a torrent program, we know a simple Google search trick [sssh...........don't tell anyone LOL]

DYI CORD/CABLE HOLDER

LEGO mini-figs are perfectly shaped to hold your Apple lightning cords and other cables. Just stick a LEGO brick on your work desk, then attach a mini-fig, and run your cords through its hands. Yeah, you can thank us later.

SO...... what are these LEGO????

Lego is a line of plastic construction toys that are manufactured by The Lego Group, a privately held company based in Billund, Denmark. The company's flagship product, Lego, consists of colorful interlocking plastic bricks accompanying an array of gears, figurines called minifigures, and various other parts. Lego pieces can be assembled and connected in many ways, to construct objects such as vehicles, buildings, and working robots. Anything constructed can then be taken apart again, and the pieces used to make other objects.
The Lego Group began manufacturing the interlocking toy bricks in 1949. Since then a global Lego subculture has developed. Supporting movies, games, competitions, and six Legoland amusement parks have been developed under the brand. As of July 2015, 600 billion Lego parts had been produced.
In February 2015, Lego replaced Ferrari as Brand Finance's "world's most powerful brand".

Google Set to Launch Android One Today, Opening Window For Low Cost Phones

Google will uncover the first of its series of budget smartphones under the much anticipated Android One today. This initiative gives a key set of references for hardwares to help phone manufacturers make minimal cost smartphones. The phones will be unveiled by Sundar Pichai, Google’s SVP of Android, Chrome & Apps in New Delhi.
Google is expected to launch a range of Android One smartphones, mostly priced under Rs 6,000, via domestic online stores. These have been developed in partnership with local mobile phone manufacturers such as Micromax, Karbonn and Spice. These smartphones are expected to be loaded with top-end features such as dual core chip, 5 MP camera and 4.5-inch display.
Indian tech market has been ruled by budget friendly and value for money devices. The company first unveiled the Android one initiative in June this year at Google’s annual I/O conference as a move to take the platform to markets where low-priced phones with fewer features and less memory are in high demand.
By modifying the working framework, some programming and packaging it with Google’s own service, its web search tool, Android One will help scale up the business for Google.
Android One is tipped to be a game changer in the smartphone market, delivering a better experience to users. The race to make the least expensive smartphone pressed with specs is just going to get bigger as more companies are looking at the budget segment of the Indian market.

Most Powerful Supercomputer’s Big Weakness

China’s Tianhe-2 may be the world’s fastest supercomputer, but some researchers say its use is limited by its high cost and dearth of software, according to a recent article in the South China Morning Post.
The Tianhe-2, which reaches 33.86 petaflops per second, was ranked No. 1 in the Top500 List for the third time in the row in late June. But some researchers say the system is not being used to its full potential because of its expense. Researchers have to pay the electricity costs to use the supercomputer, which can run between 400,000 to 600,000 yuan a day (between about $64,000 to about $96,500 a day), the story said.
Some critics also say the developers of the Tianhe-2 focused too much on hardware, and not enough on software, forcing researchers to write their own code to use the system, the article said. Some researchers would have to spend years or a decade to write the necessary software, said Chi Xuebin, deputy director of the Chinese Academy of Science’s Computer Network and Information Centre.
“It is at the world’s frontier in terms of calculation capacity, but the function of the supercomputer is still way behind the ones in the U.S. and Japan,” Chi told the newspaper. “It’s like a giant with a super body but without the software to support its thinking soul.”
Tinahe-2, developed by the National University of Defense Technology and housed at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangdong, has served 120 clients at 34 percent of its capacity, the story said. Researchers have deployed the supercomputer for railway design, earthquake simulation, astrophysics and genetic studies.
In the supercomputer’s defense, the Tianhe-2 takes just one second to do the same amount of work that 1.3 billion PCs would take one thousand years to complete, said professor Yuan Xuefeng, director of the National Supercomputer Centre, which manages Tianhe-2. “The bill might be large at first, but calculations by Tianhe-2 can drastically shorten years of experiment time,” he told the newspaper.

The World's Fastest SuperComputer Tianhe-2

Tianhe-2 or TH-2 (Chinese: 天河-2; pinyin: tiānhé-èr; literally: "Heavenriver-2" idiomatically "Milky Way 2") is a 33.86-petaflopsupercomputer located in Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China. It was developed by a team of 1,300 scientists and engineers.
It is the world's fastest supercomputer according to the TOP500 lists for June 2013, November 2013, and June 2014.

Outernet Getting Ready To Broadcast Free Internet To The World !

The Outernet is a global networking project currently under development by the Media Development Investment Fund, a United States-based non-profit organization established in 1995. The Outernet team claim that only 60% of the world’s population currently have access to the wealth of knowledge that can be found on the Internet. This is because, despite a wide spread of Wi-Fi devices across the globe, many countries are unable or unwilling to provide people with the infrastructure needed to access the web.
The company’s plan is to launch hundreds of low-cost miniature satellites, known as cubesats, into low Earth orbit. Here, each satellite will receive data from a network of ground stations across the globe. Using a technique known as User Datagram Protocol (UDP) multitasking, which is the sharing of data between users on a network, Outernet will broadcast information to users. Much like how you receive a signal on your television and flick through channels, Outernet will broadcast the Internet to you and allow you to flick through certain websites. This service sounds too good to be true.
To understand Outernet better, check out their self-explanatory infographic:

You Can Now Correct Google Now by Simply Saying “No! I Said”

A new update for Google Now, a voice-based smart assistant, is tiny but a significant one. The new update will let users correct the search engine when it doesn’t correctly understand what they ask for.
Voice searches with Google Now can sometimes be excruciatingly irritating. Its accuracy is predicated on many factors, such as the quietness of your surroundings and the clarity of your speech and the worst of all its inability to correctly perceive non-American accents, so results can be pretty inaccurate at times.

What the Google Android One Program Means for the Developing World

Google I/O 2014 was jam-packed with interesting new launches and sweet surprises, some of which were unexpected while others were making the rounds as rumors. Android One was announced as Google’s exciting new program that will make the availability of smartphones in the developing nations ultra-cheap.
Android One program is in partnership with the three OEMs: Micromax, Spice and Karbonn. Micromax’s Android One smartphone was showcased at the event and was priced at under 100$ (approximately Rs6000.) Its features included 4.5” display screen, dual SIM, microSD card slot, and FM Radio.
With a vision to mobilize the highly fragmented market for smartphones onto the devised single platform, Google’s new initiative in collaboration with the phone makers Spice, Karbonn and Micromax is set to kick-off in India. While it will likely increase Android sales, Google SVP Sundar Pichai remarked about the advantages of Android One program, especially for the developing world.
If you look at all the OEMs in those countries, each has to reinvent the wheel… and develop a smartphone in nine months.
Sundar Pichai
Google SVP

The prevalence of smartphones in the developing nations and their use in a country like India, first and foremost requires a revision of cost and accessibility. Android One program aims to reduce the cost involved in the development of smartphone devices by pre-qualifying OEMs to identify compatible smartphone components and parts that go into its making. This is essentially aimed at standardizing hardware across all the three platforms.  Google will also ensure that the software is compatible with the design through regular updates.
Android One will thus provide the OEMs a hardware/software reference platform to work cooperatively and hence more efficiently.

Be a Pokemon Master, Google tells users in April Fool's prank

It is that time of the year again. Yes, tomorrow is April Fool's Day and in keeping with the tradition, Google is starting the silly season with a prank today. In a video posted by Google Maps team, the company announced that it is creating a new position within the Maps team - Pokemon Master.

The elaborate video opens with an epic and thunderous music tune and shows a few "adventures" going to remote places like mountains, deserts and oceans, hunting for Pokemon characters. "At Google we seek to hire the most exceptional people. Today we are announcing a new job role and challenge — Pokemon Master," the voiceover in the Video says. "Pokemon Master's are world's greatest digital explorers."

In the real world, however, you don't need to go out to hunt Pokemons.

If you upgrade your Maps app on iPhone or Android phone or tablet, you can catch 150 Pokemons. These tiny toons are littered on the Google Maps, though most of them seem to be in the US. Catching them requires zooming into the maps of various cities. Once you have found one, you can tap on it and a press special button that says "Catch". Once the character is caught, it is stored in Pokedex. Clicking on it reveals its characteristics.

The easiest way to catch some Pokemons is by navigating to................
